My name is Jules. I live in Kansas City, where I’m a full-time freelance writer/ copyeditor and staffmember at the International House of Prayer. All day (everyday) I read words, write words, and pray words. And I daily aspire to make better use of them.

I tend to define myself by my future, not my past nor present (which are equally distant from glory). So here’s what I’ll let you in on:

-I dream of becoming a children’s author. (I believe they’re the most skilled of writers). -I will be married to a beautiful girl this spring. (Her name is Bethany and she’s my favorite friend). -I’d like to live in an urban area for part of my life, perhaps in a loft or residentially-renovated warehouse space. -I wish to father several children. -I plan to raise a family in a small, tight-knit, biblical, prayer community modeled after the church communities found in the book of Acts. -I aspire to know and love my dear friend Jesus with all of my heart by the end of my life. I want to be faithful in friendship to him, just as he’s been with me.
